This year IPL 13 going to play in UAE due to corona cases in India. The BCCI has informally informed the franchises about the same IPL 13. Post a lot of speculation about the start of the cash-rich IPL, a well-played BCCI source has confirmed that the IPL will take place in the UAE and it shall start from 19 September onwards and the final match is going to be held on 8th of November. The IPL Governing Council will be participating in a bid to finalize the schedule on the next week. The IPL deck was cleated post the ICC had postponed the T20 World Cup. The postponement took place since the pandemic, COVID 19 took place in between. According to the Australian Government rules, the Indian team is going to undergo 14 days mandatory quarantine period. The match will be held, thereby abiding by all the safety rules that are required to be followed for the quarantine.

  • According to Brijesh Patel, the IPL Chairman, a full-fledged IPL 2020 will be staged lasting for 51 days.
  • Brijesh Patel said that the BCCI has finalized the IPL schedule as of now. However, it needs to get the clearance from the Central Government before going public with it.
  • The eight IPL teams could be arriving in the UAE from that of the last week of August. They will be training at the ICC Academy Grounds in Dubai, as per the sources.

England and Australia players like Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Pat Cummins and Glenn Maxwell will probably be arriving a bit late in case the ODI series between those two countries stay as per the schedule.
