Netflix film ‘Kissing Booth’ Back with ‘Kissing Booth 2’; Film’s Release Date and Other Updates Yet to be Announced

Netflix film ‘Kissing Booth is coming back with its sequel ‘Kissing Booth 2’. For those unaware, Kissing Booth is a romantic comedy directed by Vince Marcello. It is based on a novel by the same name, written by Beth Reekles. The film released on Netflix on May 11, 2018.

Plot Details of First Film:

The basic plotline revolves around a high school girl Shelley ‘Elle’ Evans who comes face to face with her long-time high school crush, the flamboyant Noah Flynn, when she decides to open a Kissing Booth along with Noah’s brother Lee, for a school fundraiser.

On one hand, Elle and Noah get to know each other and grow closer with each passing day. On the other hand, though, she has put her friendship with Lee in serious jeopardy.

The first film ended with Noah leaving for college and Elle staying back to complete her high school studies.

What to Expect from ‘Kissing Booth 2’:

Will Noah and Elle be able to handle the hardships of a long-distance relationship or will Noah distance himself is what fans are eager to watch.

On the other hand, Lee and Elle’s relationship is at stake too. Would it stand the test of time or will they drift apart is another big anticipation from audiences.

The first film received largely negative reviews owing to the plotline being highly misogynistic. So, we will have to wait to see whether the makers will make any changes to the plotline if the movie wants to achieve commercial success and is not just a ‘Netflix hit movie’.
