‘Kissing Booth 2’ Release Date Announced!

Netflix has officially announced the release date of ‘Kissing Booth 2′! This would be the successor to ‘Kissing Booth’, which released in May 2018. Fans were eagerly waiting for the release date and well, their wait is over as the hit Netflix film will come on their TV screens on July 24, 2020!

Netflix was still in talks to announce the release date for the sequel.

Even though the first film received negative reviews for having a weak script and misogynistic views about relationships, Netflix hopes that, with the sequel, the audience will have a change of heart and give the movie a thumbs-up and more viewership too.

‘Kissing Booth 2’ Summary:

‘Kissing Booth 2’ will be based on the novel ‘Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance’, which will be a successor to ‘Kissing Booth’, both written by Beth Reekles.

Joey King and Jacob Elordi will reprise their lead roles as Shelley ‘Elle’ Evans and Noah Flynn respectively. Joel Courtney will also reprise his role as Lee Flynn, Noah’s brother, and Elle’s best friend.

‘Kissing Booth 2’ will see Elle and Noah navigate through their long-distance relationship. This is because the first movie ended with Noah going to Harvard University for college, while Elle stays back to complete her high school. The first movie also saw Elle straining her friendship with Lee as she and Noah begin dating. So, will Kissing Booth 2 see two best friends drift apart? Or will they be able to get through this rough patch? Will Noah remain faithful to Elle in their newfound relationship given Noah’s ‘Casanova’ image in high school? The sequel hopes to answer all these questions.

New Characters Introduced!

To make matters more interesting, new characters will be introduced in the film. These characters might play potential love interests for Elle and Noah. This only spells trouble as this could further complicate their long-distance relationship. Taylor Perez and Maisie Richardson-Sellers will be the new faces in the film.

Vince Marcello will direct the sequel and also co-write the script with Jay S. Arnold.

How things will end for Noah, Elle, and Lee is going to be interesting to see in this sequel. Going by the looks of it, if the script is strong enough for the audiences to enjoy and ask for more, then Netflix will have another hit this year!
