‘The Matrix 4’ Release: Details like Release Date, Cast and Trailer Given Below

As soon as the makers of ‘The Matrix’ announced the making and release of ‘The Matrix 4’, the fans went crazy and now eagerly await the film’s release. The makers officially announced the movie in August 2019. Lana Wachowski will be writing and directing ‘The Matrix 4’.

‘The Matrix’ film series has, over the years, amassed a massive fan following across the world. It always finds its way into the current age with the film being relevant and ahead of its time. The movie made high fashion statements with the actors’ eyewear and costumes being highly demanded at that time.


The first ‘Matrix’ movie came to theatres in the year 1999 and has enjoyed a cult following since then. The action sequences struck the audience with awe and as said before, only the latest technology and devices were used at the time. People, even today, imitate the iconic scenes that still rank high on the list of greatest action sequences of all time.

With the latest film being added to the list of upcoming movies, it is surely going to be one hell of a ride for the audiences.

‘The Matrix 4’ Plot:

Neither director Lana, nor any of the cast members have revealed any details regarding what the fans should expect from ‘The Matrix 4’. But one thing that we are sure of is that it would be on a much grander scale than its predecessors.

Let us take a look at the cast members, set to appear in the movie, both the OGs and rookies:

Keanu Reeves – Neo

Carrie Anne-Moss – Trinity

Lambert Wilson – The Merovingian (not yet confirmed)

Persephone – Monica Bellucci (not yet confirmed)

Niobe – Jada Pinkett-Smith (not yet confirmed)

The latest additions to the cast include Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Stephen Graham. One star who won’t star in the latest installment is Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith. The actor has also confirmed the same.


Unfortunately, the makers did not release any snips from the movie, though social media released some behind-the-scenes pictures of Keanu and Carrie Anne-Moss in action. The film’s production had already completed filming some parts of the movie before Coronavirus put everything under hold.


Release Date:

The movie will release on May 21, 2021 in the UK and the USA. Its release in other countries is will be announced sometime later.

So we will have to wait for this year to pass. Only then can we get a glimpse of the latest addition in the cult movie franchise.
