The ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise earned cult status for itself over the past years as the film characters used the most advanced cars to chase each other till the finish line. Also, a lot of thought and money went into choosing the cars only to crash and burn them; or at the very least damage them before the finish line was in sight. And now, the makers have announced the latest installment to the franchise named ‘Fast and Furious 9’, nicknamed ‘F9’, and fans are going gaga over the ‘Fast and Furious 9’ trailer.
Fast and Furious: Shooting and Stronger Bonds:
The movies’ high-octane and breath-taking action sequences and car chases gave the audiences a rush of adrenaline. The franchise can be summarised into 3 words – cars, women, and family. From highly expensive cars being used for races to charming women starting off the races and participating in them too, the films changed the scene of action movies altogether. And lastly, why did I say ‘family’? Well, the bond that Vin Diesel and the late actor Paul Walker shared as Dom and Brian O’Conner respectively, was something to cherish.
Fans loved their off-screen bond as well. Their bond was so loving that when Paul passed away in a horrifying car crash in 2013, Vin Diesel named his daughter Pauline. He did this in loving memory of his dear friend. The films, in a way, taught the action movie-buffs that no matter how important a race is, it will never be more important than family.
Let us have a look at the plot of the latest sequel:
Dominic Toretto (Dom) is now a family man who has left his racing days behind and now loves spending time with his wife Letty and son. But today, Dom faces a new enemy and he is no stranger. It is his brother, Jakob, a deadly assassin who has a personal vendetta against him. Cipher, a criminal mastermind, decides to help Jakob fulfill his dream of defeating Dom as they share the same enemy.
Some of the biggest names have joined the cast and there are a few surprise comebacks, too! Let’s have a look!

The film will also have rapper Cardi B play the role of Leysa, who has a history with Dominic.
The makers released the trailer of F9 on January 31, 2020. And from the looks of it, the trailer is quite impressive, to say the least. It also offers edge-of-the-seat action sequences which are a signature style of all Fast and Furious movies.
You will rather be left with wanting more and the movie promises to get you what you want. Also, actor Sung Kang makes a surprise comeback as Hun Lue after his ‘death’ in ‘The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift’.
The film was supposed to release on May 22, 2020, but the Coronavirus pandemic forced the makers to push the release to April 2, 2021.
